Lady knight zbrush sculpt. It’s enough finished to turn in tomorrow for class. My concept art for her is here: [x]

Turntable here: [x]

Concept art for my final character sculpting assignment. The plan is to create a sculpture in zbrush (as opposed to a single t-posed character), so I decided to have fun with it.

I was going to make art to say thank you for 300 followers… but I’m going to have to up that number by 1500 instead since thursday. So have a happy werewolf papa with his daughter sleeping on his back after a day of making flower crowns :)
Thank you guys so much for following me, and I might not update as much as I should at the moment, but graduation is coming up so I’ve been busy! Thank you again, I really don’t deserve you guys <3

Do you work for Disney/Pixar? If so, what's is like? Is it as magical and heartwarming as I think it is?

I was an intern there last summer :) It was only a 10-week-long internship, but it was probably one of the best experiences of my life. Everyone is nice and it has such a positive atmosphere, and literally everyone you meet just blows you mind with how much talent there is in one studio. I cried so many tears when I had to leave to fly back home for school if that means anything! Let me just say, it is JUST as magical and heartwarming as you think, and then some c:

Did some quick renders before I hit the hay. Some progress on my thesis character, Ana. She’s mostly rigged finally! Her weights are still being touched up here and there, and I need to adjust some stuff still, but she’s coming along and soon I can start animating :)

This has been my first time rigging a character, so it’s not GREAT, but I’m proud of myself! I’ll render some better images soon~

Do you have any good tutorials for zbrush sculpting? Your work is amazing, my university course doesn't have any sculpting classes and I feel so cheated...

Ahhh I don’t really have any for starting out in zbrush, I think I mostly learned in class and through trial and error, and a lot of futzing around with the brushes :c Pixologic generally has pretty good tutorials for zbrush though, and they’re open for anyone to watch! I’ve used them for hard surface modeling tricks :)

I know of a few tutorials for making feathers, and some fibermesh stuff. Depends on what you want to make. The tutorials I usually end up looking for are pretty specific :< Feel free to ask off anon if you ever have questions about how I did a thing though! (And good luck with your university — tell them you need some sculpting classes pronto)

Current project for my character sculpting class. Very much a work in progress!

Updated my portfolio last night. Here are some of my favorite pages (out of 12, so I’m not leaving much out)! There are some things I need to fix, but it is what it is :)

Wahh lady knight sketches galore. I don’t normally draw a lot of armor, so this was a learning experience! Early drawing attempts in the bottommost picture. But yeah, I think my favorite so far is the top left girl! Cute lady knight sworn to protect the princess. I hope to actually get a concept down and paint eventually, if I have time!

She’s going to be translated into 3d, but hopefully I don’t need to cut back too much.

Assignment was to design a tribal character. Teacher gave us regions and a style to design off of (I was given Africa and Kung Fu Panda), and we had to go from there. So! This was me trying really hard to do Nico Marlet style. I had to cut back a bit because of time issues, but I’m relatively satisfied I suppose.
